2008 Chevrolet Equinox - Good Vehicle However
It really is a good vehicle and, for the most part, I'm happy with it, but there have been some issues. I had problems with both front windows not going up or down in the winter, and all the auto locks seem to work sporadically, mostly when it's cold out. It's great on gas mileage, and has a lot of interior room. It performs well. It has a very smooth ride with plenty of leg room.
Story
Cramming five over-stuffed bags in the trunk and a bunch of us heading down to Atlantic City for a long weekend of fun, gambling, and drinking. Made it there and back on one full tank of gas, plus some left to drive to and from work the next two days. Excellent on gas mileage.
Pros
Great on gas mileage and I love the tire pressure gauge on the dashboard. It has built-in OnStar, spacious interior cabin, front passenger seat also folds down so a long narrow package will fit from the trunk all the way to the dashboard.
Cons
Some plastic parts broke off with mild heat. They could have been made more sturdy. It could have a better sound system in it and would have liked to have the ability to install a roof rack.
2015 Chevrolet Equinox - Everything I need.
I always like driving an SUV because I feel safer. My Equinox is the third one that my husband and I have leased. I like its shape/form. I am very content with the space, especially in the front. The Equinox also has that elegant and sporty look that I like. I also love the fact that the back seat can move back to adjust for more leg room. We have a toddler, and he has enough space to stretch his legs while he's in his car seat.
Story
We have been through different states, and the Equinox has never failed us. We traveled comfortably, and we had little to no problems.
Pros
I love my heated seat. I also like the camera at the back, so I can see if there's anything/anyone behind. Lastly, when I back out, the screen shows the angle so I know if I need to adjust without hitting a car as I park.
Cons
I really wish there was more room to accommodate a spare tire instead of a doughnut. I had a couple of misfortunes with flat tires, and I was very uncomfortable driving with a doughnut. I kept staring at the dashboard with the sensor blinking.
