2011 Chevrolet Equinox - Better than expected
I purchased my Chevy Equinox in 2015. It is a 2011 model year. I purchased it because I liked the design and aesthetics of how the vehicle looked. It is the gold color with tinted windows. This vehicle is reliable and drives very well. I think it holds the road well.
Story
My favorite memory is having a road trip to Florida with my family. The car drove very well and got us from point A to point B and back on our trip. I was very happy with how the ride was on vacation.
Pros
Bluetooth capable.
Cons
I don't like that the vehicle requires synthetic oil for oil changes.
2010 Chevrolet Equinox - I had a lot of issues with the engine in this vehicle. Otherwise, a solid car.
It is a good looking vehicle. Had major issues with the engine and had to have multiple repairs performed on it.
Everything else on the vehicle has held up very well and I have almost 200,000 miles on it.
Story
Taking my kids to all their baseball games
Pros
Good looking car
Overall, runs well
Didn't have to replace brakes until almost 100,000 miles - same with tires
Fun car to drive
Able to transport all kids' sports equipment
Cons
Multiple issues with the engine
Needed to be re-built
Then burning oil and needed to be replaced
New engine needed to have timing chains replaced
Lots of money put into engine repairs
This was an issue with the 2010 Equinox engine
