I have had my 2008 Chevy Equinox LT for 8 years now and it has been a pretty good car for the most part. It is considered an SUV, but drives smooth like a car and doesn't feel like you are way too high above the ground. Ample space for my family of four which includes two car seats in the back. My main issue with this vehicle has always been the lights that continue to turn on the dash even though problems have been fixed (ABS, Traction Control, Stabilitrack). It has been to service several times due to these. The other issue is that the power door locks no longer work properly with the key fob. They unlock or lock as they please and I find myself having to do it manually which is not always convenient when you are out with two children. Overall a great vehicle and we have enjoyed m... Story
The family and I driving around on the weekends or on numerous road trips to visit new and exciting places. We also took it to a country safari where kids were able to see animals approach the car and get up close and personal.
Pros
Ample space for being a small SUV. Love the design and large trunk space. Plenty of leg room for back passengers. Drives great and doesn't waste too much gas. Tank holds about 18 gallons and I only fill about once a week for under $50 with today's gas prices. Comfortable for road trips.
Cons
Constant problem with ABS, Stabilitrack and Traction Control. Door locks don't always work with key fob and almost always have to be opened manually (which can only be done by using the key on the driver side and then unlocking all other doors from inside).

2013 Chevrolet Equinox - I love Chevy.

Well, there are a lot of reasons to really like the Chevy Equinox. I got a middle quality trim (the LT I believe). It was awesome. The interior was so slick and modern. I have a large touch screen, making me feel like it had great technology. It comfortably fits my family. Prior to this we had a 2003 Subaru Outback. I used it to carpool with a body. We are both big guys and in the Subaru, we were shoulder to shoulder and made a wall so no one in the back could feel the air conditioner. In Phoenix, that's not a good problem to have when it's 110 degree outside. When I bought this car, we had easily a foot between us and the back had it's own a/c vents so no more rubbing shoulders. The vents in the back row is really helpful in this Arizona heat. Now we fit 4 adults and a car seat comfor... (more)
Story
We drove from Phoenix to San Diego in this car to go to the beach and SeaWorld with my 2 year old son. Not only did it get great gas mileage, but it handled the windy road (I8) and all the traffic of Southern California.
Pros
It's really roomy and tons of leg room in the second row. Looks better than other crossover SUVs. Good gas mileage. Nice interior. Roomy trunk (my chocolate lab loves the back).
Cons
I want to buy a new one but they're out of our price range.
