2012 Chevrolet Equinox - My Chevy Equinox experience
I purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox a few months ago, and I absolutely love it. I love the touchscreen radio, Sirius capability, and the USB port that allows me to play my iPod music through my car's speakers. It is all-wheel drive and handles great on the slick and snowy Minnesota roads. It is also very smooth when driving. I have a young baby, and the backseat provides a lot of space for her car seat and any baggage we have. I couldn't love it more!
Story
As soon as I bought the vehicle, my husband, 4-month-old daughter and I were driving back from the dealership, and she threw up all over the backseat. What a way to break the vehicle in!!
Pros
I love the touchscreen radio and the fact that I can get Sirius in this vehicle. I love that it is AWD, so I don't have to worry about driving in wintery conditions. There is a lot of room in the vehicle, making perfect for those people who have children and car seats. The sunroof is really nice for nice days and just to allow extra light in. I really appreciate the fact that there is a USB port built right into the car, so it's easily to charge your phone and play music from your phones through the car's speakers.
Cons
My previous vehicle had keyless entry, and that's something I really wish I had with this vehicle. Occasionally, the car will rattle excessively when on the highway or going at speeds greater than 60 mph. It is not the greatest on gas mileage, typically getting less than 20 mpg. This is substantially less than my last vehicle, so it's definitely noticeable.
2013 Chevrolet Equinox - Great Family Car
My husband and I decided to get a bit bigger vehicle since we were having a new baby! I Absolutely LOVE my car. I really like that I sit up higher than a normal car and that it rides really nice. I like that there is enough space in the backseat for two young kids in car seats. The space for the trunk is nice when hauling two kids up north for the weekend, or even to the mall with the stroller.
This car gets great gas mileage and I also like the menu attributes of telling me how much oil percentage is left and tire pressure. I have found those features very helpful.

We take our kiddos out driving to look at Christmas Lights! Thats always a good time!
