2015 Chevrolet Equinox - Enjoyable.
I like the size of the cabin space, gas mileage is good for size of vehicle, performance of the handling while driving. Dislike that the heat function does not start with the automatic start.
Story
Spending 18 hours driving one way and being comfortable with the whole family.
Pros
Performance of the vehicle when driving is very good, comfortable cabin space.
Cons
The automatic start does not allow the heat to activate.
2010 Chevrolet Equinox - Solid Basic Transport
I like my Equinox. It has not had any issues since we purchased it. I like the gas mileage and the ride. the interior is set up nicely, I have easy access to the controls and buttons. I like to use the Equinox for long trips. I can seat up to five people in the equinox, four is a more comfortable number. My six foot plus son can sit in the front or rear seat with out issue, along with his 350Lbs plus brother. I like the traction control.
Story
When my wife and I were shopping for the Equinox; in December with snow and ice on the ground. We drove to a parking lot and I showed her that the traction control would not let us do doughnuts on the slippery road. This was important because our 16 year old was starting to drive. The Anti-lock brakes and Airbags were also an important reason we bought the car.
Pros
The rear seat can be moved several inches back and forth to give the rear passengers more room. The window arrangement gives me a good view with little to no blind spot issues. The sound system is good, with an AUX input; Bluetooth was not available when we purchased the car. The cruse control is solid, with little deviation in speed. I use it all the time from 25 to 75 MPH. The traction control works great, it was a major reason we purchased the Equinox. The Anti-lock brakes are great. I have never needed to use the air bags, but I like that they are there.
Cons
The passenger seat tilt adjust has broken; the plastic handle on the lever snapped off. The left rear fold-down pull tab has also broken, the cable snapped. There is no Bluetooth connection for the audio system. The head lamp replacement is difficult; I have broken off several clips on the front molding that needs to be removed to replace the lamps. There could be more storage space in the drivers console.
