2012 Chevrolet Cruze - Great gas mileage.
I bought this car in 2012. So far it has been excellent based on performance. This car is usually the one we take on vacation based on the roominess of the inside as well as great gas mileage.
Story
This is a great car to take to the disc golf course. It is roomy enough for myself, my husband, our dog, all of his gear, etc.
Pros
The car gets great gas mileage. It is considered an "eco" car. My best rating so far is 44 mpg. The car is compact and can fit into any parking space. There is also a very roomy trunk for hauling anything really. I love the remote control start for when it is really hot or really cold outside.
Cons
There have been a few recalls on the car. There has also been a defect in the intake manifold that had to be replaced although was still under warrantee. The gentleman at the dealership said that this was typical of Chevy Cruzes. This car also shifts gears a lot while turning or accelerating.
2011 Chevrolet Cruze - Great Value
We purchased our pre-owned Chevrolet Cruze December 2013. It had quite a few miles on it for the age of the vehicle, but we trust the brand. Even though the car only has a four-cylinder engine, it's a blast to drive! I love the look of the car inside and out.
Story
When we were test driving the car, it was an absolute blizzard! We only drove it for 10 minutes and when we returned to the dealership the salesperson asked what we thought. We told him that we were very impressed how all five airbags deployed simultaneously.
Pros
One of my favorite things about the car is the hands free feature for phone calls. The sound quality is excellent and I've never had a problem during conversations. We are also extremely pleased with the gas mileage. We drove it well over 10K the first year we had it and we were amazed at the MPG.
Cons
The suspension needs some improvement for a more comfortable ride for city driving. We had to replace the thermostat (under warranty) and the air conditioner doesn't seem to cool as well as other vehicles.
