The 2013 Chevy Cruze replaced my 2007 Saturn Ion that was the favorite car I ever owned. I was impressed with the look of the Cruze, the turbo feature, gas mileage, all the bells and whistles and especially the back up camera.
Story
When we drove the car to my home state and car guys, that drive much more luxurious vehicles, liked the car.
Pros
American made. Great gas mileage. Great-looking car. Turbo engine. Safety features. Back up camera.
Cons
The insane amount of recalls that have been out on this car. The door lock and unlock buttons would be better placed on the front doors rather than the center console. I find it more difficult to look over the head rests and around where the black material is where front and rear doors meet on the windows in the center of the car. It seems like it is a larger area of black material and harder to look around.

When I first got this vehicle it was great but after four years it's starting to fall apart. It only has 65000 miles on it yet it's driving like a car with 165000 miles. It rides rough. It's been in the shop twice for major repairs that I paid major cash for. Every time I turn around there is a recall on it that needs done. The body of it is easily dinged and dented. I will say that for the first two years it was excellent and cheap, but not anymore.
Story
My husband and I drove this car to Atlanta which is about 15 hours from us the week after we purchased it. I'll never forget driving though downtown Atlanta with my feet on the dash singing songs at 2:00 am. We had the entire 10 lane highway to ourselves.
Pros
I love that the interior is different than that of other vehicles. It's a special red and black netting. I also liked that it had a lot of features like talk to text, a touch screen, heated seats, and a sunroof. The gas mileage on it is my favorite feature of the vehicle. It's cheap to fill up because there's only a 12 gallon tank but the gas will last forever.
Cons
This car will nickel and dime you after you've had it for so long. The turbo in my engine went and that was a very costly repair. This car also only takes synthetic oil so oil changes are a bit pricier than I was used to paying. I also didn't like that it seemed like every time I came back outside there was a new ding or scratch to my vehicle.

I think that Serpentini Chevrolet in Tallmadge Ohio is one of the best car dealerships around. They have extremely aggressive pricing, their sales staff is very knowledgeable and laid back. You do not get the hard sell like a lot of other places. Their in house financing is fantastic! I went in preapproved through my bank and they ended up finding me a different loan half a percent lower.

They were willing to overlook technical financial approval procedure by accepting more as a down payment and just using general good judgment in interviewing me and asking a few questions that were used to gauge my willingness and feasibility of paying them back. Most dealerships are lazy and follow a rigid approval process that omits risk but costs them potential customers.
