The Chevrolet Colorado is an exceptional little truck. It looks very good with its large off-roading tires and black bed cover. It gets very good gas mileage and runs smoothly at all temperatures and road conditions. I use this as my daily driver and it has some of the most comfortable seat in any car. The one thing I dislike about the truck is that the space behind the seats leaves little room for storage when there are two people in the cab and breakable would not do well in the bed. I am also slightly disappointed in the brakes of this truck. They are very sensitive and it took me some weeks to adjust to the new way of using them, still sometime I push the brake too hard. The air conditioner works very well and keeps it very cold even in traffic. The radio is high quality but the sp... (more)
Story
We love to take this little truck mudding. The lightness makes us skim over the deeper mud.
Pros
The pros of this truck are the looks, the comfort, and the quality engine.
Cons
The cons of this truck are the very sensitive brakes and lower quality speakers that busted easily.

2008 Chevrolet Colorado - Great on gas, good power, reliable, good towing capacity, great features.

The 2008 Chevy Colorado is a great economical pickup truck to own. It has a smooth ride that does not beat you up, and it incorporates GM's On Star system. it is a huge improvement to the S10 model it replaced and is actually got some good build quality to it. The ergonomics were more thought out than with the S10. The L6 and L4 engines deliver good performance and gas mileage compared to the S10
Story
I took this vehicle to go fishing and boating on a small lake, and brought home multiple bags of fish.
Pros
It has a great towing capacity for a smaller truck, you can tow a small boat with the L6 model I have. They come in AWD and are just right for the snowy winter that is headed our way. the controls and instrumentations were easy to use and felt smooth to operate. The seats are comfortable, soft enough but not extremely soft like a '90s grand am. Also if you do your own oil changes, everything is easy to get to.
Cons
The brakes on the Colorado have a mushy feeling and the suspension is a little on the soft side, however its not as bad as GM cars from the past. The clutch on the 5 speed ones I test drove is somewhat stiff, so I went for the automatic, especially with the inner city driving I do.
