2006 Chevrolet Cobalt - Low cost.
Gets great gas mileage, upwards of 28+ per gallon f driven at reasonable highway speeds. It has been reliable despite several recalls by Chevrolet. It has held up well to Minnesota winter driving.
Story
I have driven to Duluth many times with this car. This was both for work and family outings.
Pros
Reliable car that gets great mileage. It has needed very little work beyond routine maintenance. It looks sporty as a 2 door. It's fun to drive. Overall it is a good car that I would purchase again.
Cons
Several recalls during the life of the car. Needed replacement of bushings on the front struts.
2011 Chevrolet Cobalt - Drives like a dream!
My Cobalt has been so dependable in the three years that I have had it. I've never had to do more than the regular work on it and I never have to worry about something going wrong. Simply put, I trust that my car is going to get me where I need to go without anything bad happening to me along the way. This is not something that I have previously experienced, and it makes me want to buy only Cobalts in the future!
Pros
My car handles very well and I feel as though I can trust it. This is especially important as I spend many months out of the year driving in the snow and ice. The car is light enough to go through this without a problem though heavy enough to handle well and provide support. I used to dread driving in the snow and now I really don't worry about it at all. Additionally, the car just looks very sporty! I very often get compliments about it this makes me feel great. All of my friends are jealous!
Cons
I don't have any negative things to say about the vehicle, although I do wish that there were heated seats. Maybe next time!
