Overall it was a great car, I got a basic package right off the truck. It ran fine over the years. It had great gas mileage, and the manual shifting was always fun! One of the main problems was there was no cruise control, also no power locks or windows.
Story
I was always proud of how well the car would do in snow. I liked having a manual because I had much better control in the winter time. I lived on a hill and my car would truck right up that hill. I'd honestly was amazed that it could even get up it.
Pros
Great gas mileage was amazing. I could go anywhere I wanted to and didn't have to worry about it. Also it was one of the first cars that had an auxiliary input, so that was nice to hook up my music. It was sporty looking and I had a manual stick shift which was fun to learn and drive with! I'm glad I got if for so cheap as it was brand new.
Cons
One of the main things was no cruise control... also no power windows and locks. Not too big of a deal, but it was annoying at times. Also after a while the shocks and struts go out really easily and it was a bumpy ride until I had to fix them.

The Chevy Cobalt was the first car I ever bought that was pretty much new and not an auction vehicle that cost 200.00. I needed something reliable that would get me from work and school. Most of my cars in the past were in the garage more then on the road. My Cobalt had been in the shop a few time but mostly for wear and tear, because now it is 11 years old and naturally would be having problems.
Story
It's always fun when I open the sun roof. We feel so young when the music is blaring in the one speaker that is still working in the car and the breeze blowing.
Pros
This is a smaller car then most, so it was easy for a not-so-good parker like myself to get it into smaller spaces. It is also really good on gas. The tank is small, but when filled up, the tank lasts a decent amount of time. The car ran for years without having any mechanical issues. Most the time if it was getting worked on, it was all natural wear and tear. I could not have been happier with my cobalt and driving it until it will no longer drive.
Cons
The size of the inside is a problem. I transport people around for my job, and there is just simply not enough room for three passengers in the back seat. It is also showing a lot of rust now.

Salesman was very informative and helped me pick a car that would work well for me. This was very helpful since I don't know much about cars. The whole process was efficient.
