I liked that I was able to purchase my car with cash and didn't have to make any payments on it. It has been a reliable car after I have put over one hundred thousand miles on it. I haven't had any major mechanical issues so far. I have only had to get it a tune up and a water pump. It gets great gas mileage and has saved me money. The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't have as much room as I would like and the CD player ended up breaking.
Story
I drove it to the birth center, which was a two hour drive from where I live when my girlfriend went into labor. It was pouring down rain and it drove very smooth and didn't give me any problems. The next day we drove home with our son in the backseat. I will always tell him that the first car he rode in was his dad's Chevrolet Cavalier.
Pros
It is reliable and gets great gas mileage. I haven't had to invest much money on fixing it. I don't have any car payments and I have been driving it for the past four years. It has a smooth ride and handles the road well.
Cons
It doesn't have as much space in it as I would like. The CD player went out on it after I first bought it.

The Chevrolet Cavalier was the most unreliable car I've ever owned. It would overheat constantly. The interior rattled like it was going to fall apart -- I could tell that this was a very cheaply made car. The worst part of all, it would stall randomly when driving down the road. You never would know when it was going to die on you. One time when it stalled on me, it nearly caused me to have an accident as I was in bumper to bumper traffic. All of this happened when the car was less than three years old!
Story
I fit a 27-inch television in the front passenger seat when the seat was pushed all the way back and laid down flat.
Pros
The only positive thing I can say about this car is that it got good gas mileage. Maybe that was because I never drove the car because it was in the shop all the time... Oh...one other good thing was that the car was quite surprisingly roomy, for being a two door. I fit a 27-inch television into the front passenger seat with the seat pushed back and laid flat.
Cons
It was very unreliable. It constantly overheated. The interior rattled, and it felt and sounded like it was going to fall apart. The car stalled frequently and unpredictability, which caused me to nearly have an accident on more than one occasion.
