The Chevrolet Camaro is one of the most fun cars that money can buy today. My wife wanted a car for her long commute that would be more fun than her SUV, so we bought a used Camaro a month ago for her. We ended up finding a good deal for an SS, which is the sweet spot for fun and value in the Camaro line. The car itself is a blast to drive. The first thing that gets your attention is the high amount of power generated by the huge V8 engine. It pulls all the way to the redline and makes you feel that you are actually sitting in some sort of race car. The engine is loud and raw, which is how a muscle car should be, especially one built in Detroit. The interior is a little bit of a let down with poor quality of some of the materials being a little rough to the touch. They could have made ... (more)
Story
Buying this car with my wife and driving it 500 miles home through the mountains was so much fun.
Pros
The engine makes lots of power and big time muscle car sounds. You will turn heads wherever you go, especially if you choose some of the more exotic blue or yellow colors. The fun factor cannot be matched for the money!
Cons
The interior could have better materials. Fit and finish is so-so.

I have always liked Camaros as it was one of my first cars. I leased this to have some American Muscle, as I own a lot of German sports cars and kind of collect a bit. This car is a lot of fun with a lot of power and a great look to it. I really enjoy the new body styles and the feel all the way around in terms of comfort and connection to the road. The suspensions have really gotten much better in the last few years, and I am enjoy it now very much.
Story
I took this down to Paso Robles for its first drive with the wife to go wine tasting. I was pretty impressed with how well it did on gas, as it didn't guzzle as much as I thought it would. I really enjoyed the drive, and it made me happy I leased it.
Pros
The power is great with a lot of torque and a really great gearbox that actually makes you feel connected to the road. This is my major complaint with American cars, as there is always this disjointed feeling when it comes to muscle. Not this one! It really hits that sweet spot with great steering to boot.
Cons
It feels a little loose on the back end, as I wish they would tighten it up. I noticed a slight bit of understeer, but this is a bit typical in these cars. As with American muscle as a whole, this is my largest negative. Some of the interior trim pieces were loose and had to be fixed by the dealer, but this was easily resolved.
