This was my first car purchase ever. My mom had helped me through the whole process. I was so excited because not only was it a Camaro, it was a convertible with racing stripes. I have driven her for almost three years and unfortunately racked up about 200,000 miles. This does not mean anything in the way of performance, she is still amazing! I have had no mechanical issues what so ever. By far the easiest car I have ever had to deal with. The only problem I have really had was the convertible top. There was a recall for the water collection bag that would flood the back floors, however mine was never fixed. Other than that, the best car I could ask for.
Story
I live in a small town with a pretty silver, convertible Camaro with racing stripes. Everyone knows and hears Selene when she's near.
Pros
Great performance and mechanically sound. Great gas mileage as well. Such a sleek design I cannot help but fall in love with her every time I see her. When I bought her, she only had 70,000 miles on her, and I had gotten a great deal. However, I was not told about the top leaking, but in all the Camaro in general is such a well-priced vehicle. The availability for resources when I need help is huge for my vehicle, and it has really paid off for me.
Cons
The convertible top for the fifth gen is terrible. My back floors flood when it rains, and I am not eligible for a recall fix, and the repair is 3000! The fifth gen. models of the Camaro have quite a few problems with them, but nothing has been bad enough for me to give up on her.

Everyday, I drove by the car lot near our house, I kept seeing this gorgeous, beautiful vehicle. I finally called the dealership and setup an appointment for a test drive. Along with the car being gorgeous... It just spoke to me. I first noticed the heads-up display on the windshield. It displayed the speed, temp, gear it was in, etc. And I just loved it.
Story
I was actually sitting waiting for a friend to get ready so we could go out for dinner and off to the club we were going to do. While sitting in the car and young man and his son came up to my car - without seeing me in it, started taking pictures with my car. The man had his son posing next to it and then the man started posing next to it. It was quite an entertaining moment.
Pros
1. I loved the overall look of the Camaro. It looked just (with a few tweaks) like the old Camaros my Mom and Dad grew up with it. It was a great change from the years past. 2. I absolutely loved the options it had. First was the option of having On-Star - as well, it came with an app on my iPhone which I could turn-on the car; turn on the alarm; open the door locks and the trunk. It was great having those features. 3. The other techy thing I like having was the Satellite Radio which was available for purchase. It was always available and the were plenty of stations to listen to. 4. One... (more)
Cons
My main grip about the car was the LACK of space in the back seat. I tried riding in the back seat on an extremely short trip and it was one of the most uncomfortable rides I've ever been on. Other than that I truly enjoyed this car. I truly did.
