The first thing that I really loved about my Honda CRV was the size of the windows. My vehicle is very airy and spacious and I have great visibility throughout the whole vehicle, which makes it fun as well as safe to drive. The vehicle was not in the shop very often, and I have put over 170,000 miles on it so far. It has been in the shop for extensive repairing three times in the four years that I have had it, and the repairs were very expensive. I had to replace the fan belt, the radiator, and a few other very important things. But other than those few major problems it has just needed basic maintenance. My car's seats are not quite as comfortable as I would like, they are a bit too hard. The car does not do well at all with acceleration or with inclines, compared to other cars on the... (more)
Pros
Wide windows and great visibility throughout the car, doesn't break down very often, does very well at inspections despite being fifteen years old, I like the steering wheel configuration, two rows of seats and a back storage compartment, seats easily fold down for transporting things, car is light and has good fuel efficiency for an SUV, simple and not fussy, looks compact on the outside yet feels spacious on the inside, I have driven many miles on it (over 170,000) and it's still doing pretty well, goes fast on flat terrain yet for the most part tends to stick itself below 65 mph tops un... Cons
Every so often, needs big and costly repairs (new fan belt, some transmission work, new radiator, etc.), seats are not very comfortable, electrical wiring issues such as radio going out and only the driver's side window rolls down automatically, horrible acceleration and speed maintenance on even the smallest inclines, shakes and rattles a bit when traveling above 65 mph.

There are only a few things that I don't like about this car. Firstly, the air conditioning stopped working. Secondly, the alternator has had to be changed numerous times. Thirdly, the turning radius is not as tight as I would expect from a sports car. And fourth, I don't like that if the battery dies you have to reprogram the radio before you can use it again because it locks you out. The car handles great, especially at higher speeds. I love the T-tops and radio. For a sports car, it's pretty comfortable to ride in for longer periods of time. Although it has a very small trunk, the backseat folds down for more room. Even though this has bucket in the back and is on the smaller side, by taking off the T-tops, I've been able to load a dining room table in it. Everyone is shocked by th... (more)
Story
My best friend and our two kids took it on a road trip. T-tops off, music blasting and all of us singing along. We had no destination in mind but ended up seeing a lot of great things and really having a fantastic time. It's a fun car.
Pros
The car has needed very little maintenance other than the alternator. The body and interior has held up exceptionally well. I've had the car for 14 years and would have expected much more wear. When cleaned up, it looks like new. It has a great sound system. I love the fact that the lights are automatic so I don't ever have to remember to turn them on or off.
Cons
I wish the trunk was a little bit bigger. Unless you're picking up just a few things, it makes getting groceries difficult if you have any passengers. I'd also like to see the security system on the radio changed. It is a real pain to have to take it to the dealer to have the security code reset.
