2003 Chevrolet Blazer - Good-looking car that has been a thorn in my side since I bought it.
When I first bought this car, I liked the way that it looked. It was very clean and taken care of though it's age. It somewhat matched me as a person. It was sporty and smaller than what I've been used to (vans, SUVs...etc.) I was happy that it had new tires on it, it had an awesome audio entertainment device, and I felt that I could weave in and out of traffic easily with it.
Pros
The audio system, smaller than what I was used to, ability to fold down the seats and use it to transport things.
Cons
Oh my goodness....within a year I had to replace the radiator, muffler, brakes, and other things that cost me more than the car itself. My other problem with the car is that I couldn't see what was coming up on me from the passenger side of the car because the passenger seat always obstructs my vision.
1996 Chevrolet Blazer - Best Vehicle I Have Owned
My Chevrolet Blazer is red with black leather seats. The build quality is great, although at this age the condition of the vehicle has deteriorated considerably. It gets decent gas mileage. The rear window defroster was a perk and the 4-wheel drive is an excellent feature, especially since we can have severe winter weather in this area. The Blazer has great maneuverability and good acceleration. I plan on replacing it with a similar SUV in the future. This one has served me well for many years.
Story
One winter I was driving down a narrow country road that took an extreme turn after a stop sign. The road was very slippery and my vehicle slid right
through the stop sign, across the intersecting road and into a field. Even though the snow was fairly deep, I was able to keep driving and came up and out of the field onto the road again.

Cons
It seems that the brakes and tires have to be replaced more often than usual. The gas mileage is good but could be better. Over the years rust has become an issue, the rear window defroster has quit working, and the air conditioning needs frequent repair. The CD player quit working a few years ago.
