2004 Chevrolet Blazer - Chevy Blazer- aged but trustworthy
My Chevy Blazer is an '04. The engine still runs like a champ, and it's never needed any major repairs. Besides for regular oil changes, it hasn't needed much maintenance considering its age and mileage (135k). While the engine is trustworthy, the interior has decline considerably. Some of interior plastic/paneling has not held up, and the upholstery hasn't stood the test of time. Performance wise, its V6-cylinder gives it a good amount of boost to drive around town and on the highway for endurance.
Story
I was once able to go faster than a newer model car, which was surprising for both participants.
Pros
V6 cylinder engine, engine still in great condition and doesn't need any major maintenance or repairs. It was '94 truck of the year for a magazine. The truck is a good size for a small SUV and has plenty of interior space.
Cons
Interior is cheap plastic. The suspension vibrates heavily, even though it is in good condition. There are some random parts that are not able to be fixed. For example, the cluster/dash lights don't work after dark when the auto lights come in. The drivers side windshield wiper doesn't work properly. There have been many new advances in cars since its inception.
1992 Chevrolet Blazer - Chevy Blaze.
I really enjoy how the vehicle operates at a standard base line. It is a very solid purchase for only three hundred dollars from a family friend. I would highly recommend this type of deal to anyone with a connection to a solid used car. The car is very well put together and feels as though it can sustain a large amount of damage. I love the car as well as how smooth the ride feels for such an old car. It does have it downsides but is a very solid and positive experience two years into owning the vehicle.
Story
I remember taking my mom from place to place while she was still alive. We went all over the place together for years, and it really helped us both remain close in the last few years of her life.
Pros
The vehicle is very well put together. It is very sturdy feeling, as well as compact. The vehicle doesn't require too much maintenance, and can sustain wear and tear. The vehicle has under one hundred thousand miles, which is great for a car over twenty years old.
Cons
The car is old, and buying products for the car can be difficult. It usually requires the mechanic to special order products. There is no air conditioner in the car, and it is a costly repair to get it fixed. Sometimes the car feels a bit too big even though in reality it is very compact.
