1997 Chevrolet Blazer - Amazing vehicle.
The most heavy duty longest lasting vehicle I have ever owned. It is now an off road toy and takes a beating every weekend and is still very reliable. One of the best vehicles ever built by Gm.! We have owned 2 of these and wish Gm. still made these Blazers!
Story
Actually going through mud holes last weekend! We had friends getting stuck in there big brand new 2500 had trucks and 1500 trucks! They labeled our Blazer "The little Blazer that could!" We have a blast with this vehicle and do not plan on getting rid of it anytime soon! We have bought another blazer for parts and there wasn't as much wrong with it as previously thought so we will being repai... (more)
Pros
This vehicle is 20yrs old, is stored outdoors and still has very little rust. Still runs like new. Yes I have replaced parts but not until it was about 15yrs old. Very reliable vehicle!
Cons
Had to replace the transmission at 100,000 and it was only driven on the highway for those miles.
1996 Chevrolet Blazer - Pretty good
I bought my Chevy Blazer S10 series used from a private seller. The truck wasn't maintained well by previous owner, therefore I have had to replace plenty on the truck. I think if it was maintained properly it would have been a better truck. I do like the space that the 4 door model has. It is roomy enough for my family's needs. The trunk part of the Blazer has plenty of room for cargo.

Went mud bogging with friends at the dunes
Pros
I love the fact that the truck has 4 wheel drive. I live in Michigan so we need 4 wheel drive in the winter time. It is very easy to switch from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive. I love the 4 door feature of the vehicle.
Cons
I wish the back seats were a little bigger. My daughter's car seat doesn't fit the middle seat very well. So I have to have her sit in one of the outside seats which just isn't safe enough for a three year old. The vehicle is pretty hard on gas. I would like it to be a little more easy on gas.
