2001 Chevrolet Blazer - Strong, solid, great engine
I loved the room in it. Very little repairs had to be made. Good handling. Not bad at gas mileage. Great-looking SUV.
Story
Camping and fishing I was able to get all my gear in it and was able to sleep in it. I was fishing and saved money on hotel for two days. It was fun to use as transportation and as base camp.
Pros

2000 Chevrolet Blazer - I Love My Blazer
I love my 2000 Chevy Blazer. I bought it when it was eight years old and have had it for eight years. It has over 100,000 miles on it and has needed very little maintenance. The main reasons I love it are that it handles well in the snow, which is important to me, and it is a very comfortable vehicle to drive. I like sitting up high and can see over the dash and hood so I know how close to something I am while parking. The headrest is comfortable. I am short, and believe it or not, an uncomfortable headrest is a deal breaker when I look at cars.
Story
I was driving home after work in a huge snowstorm in northern Illinois and was on a road that links one county road to another and makes a sharp curve. I had cleared the snow off the windshield and all the windows before driving. Pros
Comfort is the top positive thing. I also love the interior package which includes a compass and thermometer for outside temperature. Dependability is also important. It doesn't break down on me. When I moved, I fit a lot of furniture in the back, with the back seat folded down. When I bought a new coffee table, it fit easily in the back of the Blazer.
Cons
This vehicle occasionally slides around on wet pavement.
Fuel economy is not good. Only 14 MPG in city driving.
