If you are looking for major brand dealerships, most are found right near the various freeways in the area. If you are looking for small older used car lots, you can find several on 17th street near the college.

Driving through downtown Santa Ana is always interesting as it's filled with many little shops and restaurants.

Flower Street / Floral Park - Floral Park is a very nice neighborhood to drive through. There are many lovely old houses to see and lots of landscaping and parks. If you're not in a hurry and want to see a well kept historical neighborhood, it's the place to go.

Maintain your speed limit. Use your traffic signals correctly.

Decide what you can afford. Decide between new or used. Narrow your buying choices. Assess total cost to own. Get the best interest rate. Don't assume dealership financing is the best deal. Research all discounts. Know the invoice price. Be a savvy negotiator. Don't rush the test drive.

My favorite memory is from a trip to San Francisco. It was a lovely day and I enjoyed a lot in that drive. The drive was for 10 hours on Highway 1 with my lovely wife.
