Pomona, CA Driving Tips
My best tip would be to just keep an eye out for other drivers. Not everyone in this city is the best at driving. There are often events that leave you scratching your head wondering how the other drivers even got their license. Also people are always in a hurry, so be on the lookout and drive defen

Pomona, CA Buying Tips
There are a LOT of car lots in Pomona. Often with many different kind of dealerships right next to each other. If you can't find what you want at one, hop online and more often than not they will have it delivered to the one closest to you. Try to go at the end of the month, the dealerships are tryi

Favorite Driving Memory
One of my favorite memories from driving in Pomona was going to in n out one day. I was on my way to get a burger and was just about to get into the turn lane when I slowed down because I saw a dually turning out of one of the other fast food places on the street. He was towing a car-hauler with abo

ut 6 cars on it. He turned WAY too sharp and the entire trailer full of cars tilted up on 2 wheels at about a 45 degree angle. If it would have tipped just 1 degree more it would have tipped over and been quite a site. He stopped traffic going in both directions and everyone just sat there for a minute even after he left just trying to absorb what had just happened. He stopped and when I drove by him he was shaken and paper-white. I laughed way too hard.

Indian hill has just about anything you could want on it. Anything from doctors, to car lots, to fast food. There is always a bit of traffic but it moves smooth so there is rarely any delay trying to get places. And since it runs north and south the sun is never glaring in your eyes. Its a good stre

Pomona, CA Driving Tips
One tip I would give is to avoid the 71 freeway during the day. The 71 is the worst designed freeway in the city. If you take the 71 freeway you will be stuck in traffic for at least an hour.
Pomona, CA Buying Tips
One thing you must know about buying a car, is that most people in Pomona do not have car insurance. Getting car insurance is extremely important in the city. Police will randomly pull people over to see if a person has car insurance or not.
Favorite Driving Memory
My favorite memory from driving would have to have been when I was taking my kids to school for the first time. I was driving down to Pomona elementary and my son mentioned how great a driver I was. That was one of the greatest complements I have received in my whole life.

I love driving down Holt Street. Holt is the cultural center and heart of the city. If you want a great cross section of people that live in the city from rich to poor, I suggest you take a trip down Holt Street. Pomona, CA Driving Tips
I would try to avoid the roads that aren't taken care of and maintained very well by the city. You can lose a tire easily with the potholes and uneven roads that plague the main parts of the city.
Pomona, CA Buying Tips
I've never really bought a car in this city, and I'm not even sure there are dealerships here. This isn't a car town... Those are a few cities down. This is a lot of industrial businesses and houses... The few car dealerships that have been here closed up years ago and have been paved over. So the b

Favorite Driving Memory
My favorite memory is when I first moved here a few years ago and I got a flat tire. I didn't know what to do, but a couple of motorists helped me out, with one even telling me where I can go for a good deal on tires. That sense of community is what I remember the most.

White Ave.

It's a smooth road that's maintained well, and the traffic lights aren't as frequent as a lot of other streets. It's also by the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds and when the fair isn't open, it's almost like a secret way to get from one side of Pomona to the other.
