The 2008 SRX is one of the best cars I've ever owned. The ride is smooth and I can get into tight spaces easily due to the tight turning radius. My kids love the space they have in the back seat and I love the storage space I have in the back. This version is a little wider and definitely boxier than the newer models, but still fun to drive. Everything on this car is top notch and has a luxury feel without being too presumptuous. The leather is nice and soft and the wood grain trim gives a nice homey feel.
Story
Even though this car is not a 4x4, it has enough power and drivability that I could take it into any of my secret fishing holes and not worry about getting stuck. I don't recommend doing it, but I knew I could always get out of a bind in this vehicle, and did MANY times.
Pros
My favorite features on this vehicle include the heated steering wheel and the heated seats. On cold mornings, these luxuries combined with the remote start are the greatest treasures of my life! I cannot say enough about the space, either. I can fit fishing poles, chairs, coolers and everything else I need to take myself and three kids to a day fishing on the beach, or to deliver a giant cake to a customer! The navigation is easy to use and wonderful when travelling to new places!
Cons
This car did not come with built in Bluetooth capabilities or a DVD player for the kids to use while driving down the road. The navigation system will play DVDs, but only while the car is in park. Honestly, these are the only issues I have had with the vehicle and they are not deal breakers.

2008 Cadillac SRX - Best car ever!

I've put 17,000 miles on this car and will cry the day I have to replace it. Stylish, dependable, capable station wagon/SUV combo that has taken me all over in high luxury. I love the back end, that sadly has been changed in later models. It is big enough to pack tons of stuff - including my big dog's crate for those rod trips. The seats are phenomenal, so comfortable and supportive for the long trips I make transporting dog across the state for a local dog rescue (everyone on both ends of my trips are thrilled at how their dogs are traveling in a Caddy)! My car is in that amazing sparkly red color, and people think it is brand new still. They are amazed when I tell them how old it is and impressed at my high mileage.
Story
I was out in a far field doing a bird survey when my phone rang - it was a friend, who was driving by and had seen my car in the parking lot from the highway "I know you are there!" said he, "I can see the Caddy wagon in the lot!" Fun to have such a unique, recognizable vehicle!
Pros
First off, it is a beautiful and unique car. Many friends tell me they never knew Cadillac made a SUV like this. The seating: most comfortable I have ever had. The Bose stereo system - awesome! The ride is smooth yet responsive, great road handling.
Cons
The mileage, at about 13/23, it is a very thirsty car. No foot rest for my left foot.
