2002 Buick Park Avenue - A great reliable vehicle. Luxury ride without the luxurious price. Full size 4 door. Leather interior. Dual heat and A/C controls.

I bought this car after having a Lincoln Town car. I didn't pay as much as I had for my Lincoln. Still, I wanted the floating luxury ride on long distance travels. I enjoy having the dual heater and A/C controls since my husband and I can't agree on much including temperature. It is nice having a leather interior to keep the car cleaner. Any mess or spill is easily cleaned without having a stain left. It has a tighter suspension than my Lincoln which helps in bad weather. Even though we live in the southern United States, there are some winter days that bring snow and sleet. I haven't had any major issues with the car mechanically. Routine oil changes along with tire rotation and fluid flushes has kept this car in very good condition.
Story
I guess when my husband and I went to San Antonio, Texas for a few days. It was a very romantic weekend for us. The whole trip was memorable and the car was with us on most of it.
Pros
My favorite feature is the dual climate control. Leather seating even in the heat and cold is something I like when it comes to cleanup. The huge trunk is also a positive factor on long trips. The engine and transmission have been very sound as well.
Cons
My biggest negative would be that there are only two cup holders in the center console. Not enough room for small items I like at my disposal when driving. I had to buy a floor console storage for that reason. The exterior styling isn't that great looking to me. The LeSabre to me is styled nicer.

This car has been reliable and powerful; plus, it was inexpensive. It had very low mileage on it, which is always a plus. It has decent gas mileage, and a powerful engine. But it has had some issues with the struts, as well as some leakage issues. Overall, a very decent and good vehicle, with a wide variety of features that were surely very advanced for the time that the car was manufactured.
Story
Taking a trip down to my family (some 1 1/2 hours away) for a family gathering was fun.
Pros
It had a pretty wide variety of features for such an old vehicle, and gets pretty good gas mileage. A supercharged V6 engine, electric seats, a heads up display projected on the windshield for your speedometer, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and more. It is roomy, especially the truck (which is massive). It has a sunroof as well, if that's your sort of thing. It's compact, as well.
Cons
Unfortunately, there was quite a few minor cons about the vehicle. None too great to not purchase the vehicle, but still inconveniences. We ran into some issues with the drive struts in the front, and the drive shaft itself. Not expensive fixes. The gas mileage isn't terrific for a car by today's standards. The car is bulky, and has a poor turning radius. And if you care about that sort of thing, the car is certainly not stylish.
