This car was purchased about six months ago. In that time I have gotten to know the Lucerne very well. This is the most advanced car that I have owned - but I jumped to a '06 from a '99. The technology definitely came a long way in that amount of time. The ride of this car is incredibly smooth and just a pleasure to take out on the road. It handles incredibly well and you barely feel the bumps of the Michigan roads.
Story
The first time that I drove it to a gathering of my friends. Everyone wanted to go for a ride in it. I liked my car being the center of attention.
Pros
The 3.8 Liter engine is nice. It does come with a fairly good amount of power but it doesn't suck up the gas like you think it would. Even at 100,000 miles this car still gets nearly 30 highway miles to the gallon. The ride of this car is incredibly smooth and just a pleasure to take out on the road. It handles incredibly well and you barely feel the bumps of the Michigan roads. The interior is spacious and comfortable. There is abundant leg room for tall folk and the seats are very adjustable and easy to get comfortable in. The air conditioner is incredible. You could almost make ice c... (more)
Cons
The only complaint I have is that this car, despite being a 2006, is not E-85 compatible. I would really like to have a more green car in that regard.

My Buick Lucerne is built for comfort. With heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel and dual climate control, it is a great car to take on vacation. There is plenty of space in the trunk, and there is access to the trunk from the back seat, which can come in handy on a long trip. The car has a smooth ride, and the cruise control makes driving a pleasure. The trade off between comfort and convenience comes when trying to park. The wide seats and ample trunk make for a large car that is not always easy to fit into a parking spot. It also has large blind spots that can be dangerous if you are not paying attention. It is a rear-wheel drive car, and that can be tricky on snow or other slippery conditions. I find the OnStar to be creepy. I don't like the "listening in" feeling that it ... (more)
Story
I packed it with my daughter and granddaughters and we took a trip. It was glorious. We packed the trunk with all of our gear and put the car seats in the back. We stocked up on snacks and were all ready to go! Only five minutes out of town, our toddler tells us that she needs to go to the bathroom now! First stop on a 12-hour trip, five minutes from home where we stop at a friend's house to t... (more)
Pros
Good suspension. Heated seats and steering wheel. Roomy. No maintenance problems. Very comfortable.
Cons
Large blind spots. Lame cup holders. I am the only one under 100 who is driving one. Hard to park at times. Wide turning radius. Rear-wheel drive.

2007 Buick Lucerne - A great car that is comfortable, quiet, and quick.

I bought my vehicle with 215,000 miles on it. A car doesn't get that many miles by just sitting in the garage, so I wasn't too worried about that. Despite it's high mileage, the car rode very smooth. There is minimal road noise inside the cabin and plenty of space for four people to ride quite comfortably. The trunk space has ample room to accommodate pretty much anything (within reason). There are many features on this car that really make it shine. Stereo controls on the steering wheel, auto-dimming driver's side and rear-view mirror, Bose sound system, a powerful V8 engine, heated leather seats and steering wheel, remote start, and back-up sensor, just to name a few. All in all, it is a great vehicle. I feel safe driving it, and more importantly, I feel my family is safe riding in it.
Story
I took my family to the Great Wolf Lodge a couple summers ago. We enjoyed the comfortable ride in the car and made a lot of memories on the way to and from.
Pros
The Buick Lucerne CSX is a quick car despite its size. The Bose sound system sounds great no matter what is playing. The remote start, heated leather seats, and steering wheel are wonderful in the winter time. The vehicle handles very well and is comfortable to drive. Road noise inside the cabin is drastically less than other vehicles I have owned and driven.
Cons
Maintenance costs are a bit higher than other vehicles I have owned. The passenger mirror does not have the same auto-dimming feature that the driver's side mirror and rear-view mirror has. Should the suspension need to be replaced, there is no way to override the magnetic ride control, thus limiting your speed to 80 MPH.
