This model has been one of the best cars I have owned. It has been lien free for years now and just keeps riding, with minimal maintenance. I've put more than 100,000 miles on this car, with almost no repairs. It has a pretty comfortable ride, and runs pretty well on FWD in the snow. The interior is pretty roomy, and the trunk is huge. It is not without it's idiosyncrasies and foibles. It seems to have electrical trouble. The key fob is broken. The turn signals need to be replaced frequently. Living in Iowa, it has the obligatory broken windshield. The sound system is atrocious. But it gets a good 30 miles to the gallon. Prior to owning this Buick Century, I owned a 2003 Buick Century, and that one lasted forever too. I think the people I sold it to had good luck with it as well. My so... (more)

Being my second car, I would say it definitely got me through my early twenties pretty well. The car looked visual appealing at the start of its lifetime, but over the course of the years, you could tell how poorly manufactured the car truly was. Overall, the gas mileage was the best thing about the car I would say. It got from point A to point B with no trouble. Looking back at it, I would definitely choose Buick again as another car, but I definitely wouldn't choose the Century as my car of choice.
Story
The best memory I've had in this car was driving through three states within a day to get to an event that my friends and I desperately wanted to go to. It was last minute, but the car made it easily.
Pros
The Buick Century had many pros over the course of its lifetime. The first noticeable quality was its gas mileage. Back when the price of gas was cheaper in 2004, you could get by easily within a two-week span of time, working full-time of course. The car was very spacious and could easily have around six people traveling within it. In its early years, it was great for cruising down roads or general travel. The air conditioner was the best I've had personally. The engine as well is nothing but fantastic.
Cons
Shortly after buying the Buick Century, you could tell its manufacturing was faulty. The windows would grind within the door when rolling them down, which ending up in every window in the car to go out one by one. The window motors would die off one by one as well, which meant they used very cheap parts to get the job done for the car. The exterior of the car could not withstand the harsh weather conditions of America, apparently, as a ten-year-old car would slowly start to rust away, even with taking proper care of the outside of the car.
