I got my Buick for a low price after my old car's engine blew up. I initially didn't like it (I think I missed my old car!) but it has really grown on me. I haven't had any major problems with it in 3 years. I have had to make minor updates, like changing the wiper blades and I got some different rims for it, but it hasn't given me any engine trouble or anything like that. It does well on gas, not the best, but not as bad as some of my cars has been. I like how roomy it is, I can fit all my stuff in it and even a big subwoofer in the trunk. I've driven it to key west and back so it has quite a bit of miles on it, and honestly I wasn't even sure if driving it that far was a good idea but it really did great. Story
We took this car to key west, it traveled along the interstate ALOT of miles and did fine. The Buick saw the beach! We live in Kentucky.
Pros
My favorite things about this car would have to be how big and spacious it is, and how comfortable it is. I can't stand tiny cars, or two-door cars, and this one is plenty big enough for all my groceries or shopping bags. We have taken it camping quite a few times and it holds our tent and supplies and whatever else we can load it with. The seats are probably my favorite part because when we go on a long drive there is nothing worse than having no leg room or a seat that feels really flat and uncomfortable. Cons
I wouldn't say there were too many things negative about this car. Sometimes I have issues with getting the windows rolled up but I don't think its a problem specific to the car, I think whoever owned this car before me may have been a little rough with it. I do also wish the steering wheel was different, it seems to have melted in the sun a little and I've never seen a steering wheel do that before. I also for some reason have a hard time finding floor mats that fit but again that's not the car its probably just me. I would like it have better gas mileage but it's a fairly big car so it's... First off, let me say that the person I bought it from was a friend of my mother-in-law last November. His hobby is fixing cars up and reselling them at a very reasonable price to help people out I guess. So far, I have had no reason to doubt his trustworthiness. The car had been very, very well taken car of in the first place, and he did a lot of great work on the car. Engine wasn't brand new, but it sure looked like it was. For a car this old, it is in excellent shape except for a spot of rust below one of the back doors. Overall, it drives like a dream. Very responsive and smooth.
Story
Not really a fun one, but it was memorable. When my fan wasn't working and I had no defog, I had to constantly wipe the windshield with a rag while I was driving. Very annoying and dangerous too, I guess. But like I said before, it started working again. Just has to be on high.
Pros
I like the smooth ride, compared to my old car, which was a small Ford Focus. I like the fact that I haven't had any major issues with it. I also like the size. The sound system is amazing. The CD player works wonderfully and even the tape player works! It's been a long time since I've had a car that has a great stereo that works properly.
Cons
Only a few minor things that normally go wrong with any car that old. My driver's side window had some issues at first. Kept going down on its own, then it broke completely. Got that replaced, and it kept going down on its own again but stopped doing that after awhile, so now it's perfect. However, now the back window broke. But like I said, normal wear and tear. I also seem to have an issue with the brakes. Sometimes I have to press down really hard, so I need to take that in sometime.
