1999 Buick Century - Its my first car and has been trustworthy so far, its not a gad hog either so that's always nice.

My Buick Century 1999 is my first car. It has been reliable and I have not had many problems with it so far. For almost 150,000 miles it has lasted well. I loved the color, tan, and the interior is nice. It is an older model but does not feel like it. The radio is great and I love the temp settings as well. I paid 1500 for it out of pocket, which was a very good deal. My uncle helped by finding me the seller at his work place.

Story

The fact that it was my own car, I remember the day I went and got it. The first day I got to drive it, owning a car of my own is a fun experience just in itself.

Pros

The top positive things about my car was mainly the gas intake. I can fill it up in 35 dollars and it takes me far. I love that it is not a gas hog for how much gas prices fluctuate. I also love the heater and air conditioning in the car. The way you can adjust how much heat or air is blowing out is nice for any season, and it warms up or cools down fast depending on what is needed at the time. The radio is also nice because its surround sound and you can put it in the back or front, and left or right sides of the car for convenience.

Cons

The car did come with a couple cons but not many. The tires did need changed very early on because they were older. The window in the left back seat does not work as well but that is commendable. I do not like how you have to actually pull the seat front or back but can not bring it up or down like you can in newer cars. The cigarette lighter also was full of ashes and does not work anymore. I do not smoke but it was nice to charge my cell phone in, which I can not do anymore.

1999 Buick Century - Good car

The car is ugly but reliable. It gets decent gas mileage. The interior has not held up very well. It is overall a pretty good car for the price. For the price, I would give it an eight out of ten.

Story

In Dallas, I have had several close call with drivers in big trucks cutting me off. The horn is rather dinky, so honking back at them was a little funny.

Pros

It is actually pretty fast for a v6. It runs well. Only one thing has really broken on me -- the starter. Overall, it is a very reliable car and a good deal for the money that you pay for it. The Blue Book listing is way undervalued, making it a great college car. I have driven from Kansas to Boston in that vehicle without a hitch. I love my car. Great for long-haul driving. Very smooth highway car.

Cons

There is a running problem with the fuel intake manifold? I think, if you buy one, you need to make sure that is fixed before hand. Also, as I said before, the interior is somewhat flimsy. The back window mechanism also broke. It doesn't take impacts very well, and it pretty much crumbles when you hit something.
