BMW Z3 Owner Ratings & Reviews

2005 BMW Z3 - Will Buy Again
Car is made with superior quality. Rides and handles like a dream. The car itself causes people to stop and gawk, inside is basic and to the point.
Story
Used it to carry a kayak. Had the top down and roped it to the car.
Pros
Love how it hugs the road.
Cons
Expensive to maintain.
1996 BMW Z3 - A BMW Z3 is a great car to own.
I love the sporty, classy look of my car, and the color of blue is really pretty. I like the fact that it's a convertible, so in the summer you can put the top down and enjoy the sun and feel the wind through your hair. In the winter, it actually keeps you warm with the heater, and believe it or not, it performs well in the snow. It did not slide once when I had to drive it in a bad snow storm. The top is easy to put up and down so that's a nice feature. It has electric windows, which I've had to replace the switches. The car is pretty fast and handles corners and curves really well as fast speeds. The one downfall about the car is it is real expensive to fix when something breaks. My alternator cost me almost $1,000.00. But, overall, I would say it's probably one of the most fun cars ... (more)
Story
I was shopping with my friend, and we ended up buying quite a bit more than planned. When we got to the car, it dawned on me I had the Z3. She commented that there was no way we were going to fit everything in the car. I was determined to fit everything in and I did. My friend was totally shocked and amazed with how much I got into my car. We were laughing, because she wanted to know how many ... (more)
Pros
It's good on gas. They car performs well on the highways. It's little, so you can get in and out of places easy. It's fast and very nice looking. You can drive it in the summer or winter. The car is roomier than you realize.
Cons
The only con that I have had with this car is the price that it costs to get things fixed on it. The cost of little things are so much more expensive than you would think they would be.
2000 BMW Z3 - This is one of the best cars I have ever owned. It is almost 19 years old and I still get people telling me how nice it is. It is a convertible and I have enjoyed it in California. It hold a lot more than people think by looking at it. It is easy to drive
I love the car and find it to be of high quality. It performs well and has great recovery and it is fast.
Story
I passed a group of kids and they all stopped and stared at the car and gave me "thumbs up" as I went by.
Pros
Pros: it has a look of an old time roadster. It is a convertible so it is fun to drive with the top down. It has beautiful leather interior and plenty of room for groceries in the trunk. It comes with an available add-on of a hard top, which I did purchase. The color is red and fits this vehicle. It has both manual and automatic speeds. It has a stainless steel exhaust which never needs to be replaced. It has an electric top which is easy to put up an down.
Cons
Cons: the price. It was rather expensive. The cost of maintenance is more than most cars. It is difficult to work on yourself because everything is put in so tightly. Although it does have an available hard top, it needs to be stored. The hard top can stay on the car, but then you lose the ability to use the convertible top. The hard top needs two people to put it on and off. The soft top has a boot that fits over the top when down, but needs to be stored when not used. All of the items that need to be stored take up valuable room at least in my garage.
