1995 BMW M3 Owner Ratings & Reviews

1995 BMW M3 - Still a fun car to drive.
This is one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. Even though it is over 20 years old, it is still a very sporty and fun car to drive. The handling is very good and interior has remained in very good condition for its age. While the exterior body lines seem to be a bit dated by today's standards, it is still a very enjoyable car to drive.
Story
Cooling system blew up in my car approx. two miles from my home. Had the entire family in the car and had to walk while listening to my wife lecture me on why I should have never bought the car. I later learned that the cooling system is a very common problem with these cars.
Pros
The best part about this car is how it handles. The weight distribution is near 50/50 which makes the vehicle very easy to handle in "spirited" driving scenarios. The suspension is very capable in stock form, and there are many aftermarket options available to further improve performance. The car is also deceptively quick for its age and has held its value well. It's a car that can out perform many newer vehicles that are several times more expensive.
Cons
One of the drawbacks of this car (particularly the 1995 model) is the steering rack, which is a progressive design that does not provide immediate feedback to the driver. This makes the car feel "lazy" compared to other models when sharp steering inputs are provided. Another issue is the differential gearing which was only 3.15:1 in this particular year. This makes the car feel under powered under hard acceleration.
1995 BMW M3 - Excitement
I love the car, being single its a perfect car. The style and look of the car its really fun, been a convertible and a sports car, its perfect for a young male. The car inside its really comfortable, leather seats, plenty of room for the front passenger, the car has back seats but its mostly design for two people, car has seat warmers so perfect for those cold nights. surprisingly it has plenty of space in the trunk, considering the car is a convertible and a good chunk its for the top. The quality overall of the car its great, BMW makes really great quality cars, being an old car it came with a lot of features that even now newer cars don't have, It performs great, powerful engine, Highway mileage its really great. The car is super fun to drive, specially with the top down heading dow... (more)
Story
Driving this car down the highway 101 is Southern California also known as Pacific Coast Highway its always a lot of fun, going down the coast with the top down and the sun hitting down on you and wind and ocean breeze blowing on your face will always make for a memorable drive and also great memories.
Pros
The engine is really reliable, always has a lot of power, I drive a lot for work so a I spend a lot of time in the highway, so this car mileage in the highway its great, so if you do a lot of driving like I do, you know with gas prices being so high as they are now this is a big plus. Car is a lot of fun during the summer being able to drive with the top down, going to the beach. If you are a do it yourself type of guy, doing oil changes and tune ups on this car is super easy, everything its accessible from the top, so makes the job a lot easier, doing it its a breeze you don't need any sp... Cons
I would say that sensors on this car are one of its bigger cons, if one sensor goes out car won't run properly, even though is something really simple and they are kind of pricey, city mileage is not that great. Even though the car has back seats, no one really fits back there, the car is mostly design for two people, if you carry four people which is possible, people in the back are really uncomfortable and the back tires hit the tire wells.
