2011 BMW 3 Series - I'd buy it all over again!

There is a reason they call it the "Ultimate Driving Machine." This BMW has been nothing short of just that: ultimate. I've driven it well into the 80,000 mile range, and there is not a single problem with the car. I haven't had any electronic issues nor defects within the interior or exterior of the car. Other than routine and preventative maintenance, there's not much to complain about. It's truly one of the most reliable and fun cars I've ever owned.
Story
I've traveled all over the United States with this car, and I just simply recall the constant change of scenario. One week I'd be cruising across the plains of Iowa with nothing but miles ahead of me. Other times I'd be ripping through a canyon and pushing the car to its limits. Regardless of where I've been, the common variable is that I've been able to get there because of this car, and for ... (more)
Pros
My favorite features of this car are definitely the sport mode capability and the suspension. Never have I ever been more calm and comfortable while taking turns at higher speeds. You feel planted to the ground, and the car goes exactly where you want it to. My favorite aspect, hands down, is that it is practical for everyday driving, but if you want to get on it, it pulls like a freight train.
Cons
You buy a luxury car knowing that you're going to have higher repair costs than you would with a Honda. But that doesn't stop you. There's not much to complain about when you have a constant smile on your face when you're driving. The only one single aspect I don't particularly care for is the lousy fuel consumption. This thing goes through gas like a fraternity goes through beer!

2011 BMW 3 Series - First their sweet, then their sour. Opposite of sour patch kids.

I think overall, I loved the aesthetic of the car & the fact that I owned a BMW at such a young age. I loved the performance U& how the thing would pull like a freight train down the highway, however, that love did not last very long. Just a few short months after I bought my "baby," that's when all of the mechanical problems started to happen. Yes, it was fun. But my wallet would disagree.
Story
I loved taking it on back roads or up into the mountains. I modified it, so it was very fun to drive - all the twists & turns & what not!
Pros
Hmm. Well let's see, the performance is next to none & when the car DOES work, the shifts are buttery smooth & the car just soars. It's a great car for a young dude to "act flashy in," so if that's what you're trying to do, go for it! It's the perfect car.
Cons
As far as the cons, well, let's just say that reliability is not exactly what BMW's are known best for. On any other car, the same parts would be ridiculously cheaper & the labor would be cut in half. But that's what you get when you buy German-made cars. There's extra, random parts & screws that require extra tools & blah, blah, blah. If you are going to buy a BMW, just be sure to be prepared for the costly maintenance when it does break down!
