The BMW I leased was great at first. The speed was relatively faster than the Honda I had turned over as a down payment, and just the fact of owning the brand brought a sense of calm to me as a driver. However, as time went on, the negatives of leasing this car started to spur out.
Story
My car was used for moving from Virginia to Georgia, so the story about moving an entire house (of course we rented a U-Haul as well) in a luxury sedan never gets old!
Pros
The pros of this vehicle are slim. I wasn't so much wanting to express the luxury aspect of the brand that is associated with 'BMW', but more so the trust a customer could have with the company knowing everything would be squared away in case of an issue.
Cons
Where to begin... For one, the car was sold to me with faulty tires, where the left-rear tire is now also whining for air. My lease ends this October so there is no sense in replacing the tires now, but this has been a very frustrating issue over the past years. Another issue is actually just how slow the car is compared to my Honda. My previous Honda was almost $17,000 cheaper than this car, and for a BMW to run at the same speed (in terms of 0-60 acceleration) as a Honda where we have Acuras beating me at the red light made me very, very displeased with my purchase. Also knowing when ... (more)

I really liked the fit and finish of the car. It is above average looking, although not exceptional. I REALLY like the maintenance free part of having the lease. I like not having to pay for basic maintenance and oil changes. I appreciate the loaners that BMW gives you at no cost. The power and performance are pretty decent. I consider myself a "car nut" and I don't feel that I compromised with this choice. The problems I do have is that BMW constantly nickels and dimes its customers. Luxury cars that I have owned in the past come equipped with standard luxuries, like backup cameras, leather interior, heated mirrors, HID headlights, etc. BMW consistently offers the bare minimum and then over charges for what are included as a standard options on Infinitis, Acuras, etc. On the whole, th... The handling and power of the vehicle allows me to drive aggressively and that always puts a smile on my face.
