The first thing that drew me to this car was its body style. I thought it was a beautiful shape with exceptional lines. Its interior is a sandy tan leather, and the seats are comfortable and easy to clean/maintain. The leather has barely any wear in it, which is impressive because I live in AZ, and the temperatures here during the summer literally bake the inside of vehicles. The seats can be adjusted in many positions to help you get it to how you like it. The audio system has deep bass and sharpness. The technology is great for a car from 2010. It can tell me the outside temperature, gas mileage, tire pressure, and many more things. The six cylinder is pretty fast. It responds quickly when I press the gas pedal. The brakes are equally impressive when it comes to responding to stops. ... (more)
Story
Took this car on FR420 through the mountains in Flagstaff, AZ, during the winter. It ate that road up and went over ice patches like they were nothing. Although its body is low to the ground, it was able to clear any rock/root obstacles we encountered.
Pros
The way it drives and its durability. This car is so much fun to drive. It makes grocery store trips and long-distance trips a driving experience. The way the car has held up all the years is very impressive. The cost of ownership has been low so far because it hasn't had any major problems. All of its electrical components (window motors, sunroof motor, stereo system, etc.) work just like they did when it was new. For what this car offers, it was a great priced vehicle.
Cons
A negative is if you need another key fob. Because it's a BMW, you have to go to the dealership to get one. I got one for over $400, which is pretty steep. Also, it does have some gnarly blind spots with how high up the headrests go in the backseats. It can be difficult backing up carefully. Another con is how you can't check the oil level manually as there is no dipstick. This is done on the steering column, and I fear if the sensor ever goes bad. I would like to be able to visually check my oil.

The quality of the vehicle has been amazing and as completely lived up to the expectations I expect from a German car. Sleek, stylish, and reliable. I have owned the car just about five years/90,000 miles and have no major issues. Interior: Just the right amount of electronics and interior the design without being too flashy and having too many buttons. The seats are surprisingly comfortable, and the leather has held up well even with the many passengers who have ridden in my car (mostly who are dogs), so I can attest their nails have not ruined the leather and the leather is easy to wipe clean from muddy paw prints. Exterior: Sleek and stylish! I went with Jet Black paint color which shows everything. The paint has lived far above my expectations in terms of no fading or swirl marks. ... (more)
Story
This vehicle has gotten me up to the mountains through every type of weather.
Pros
My favorite feature in my vehicle is the cold weather package which includes heated seats, heated steering wheel, and other upgrades to have the car perform in cold weather flawlessly. It makes living in a cold climate almost bearable. The Xdrive systems never fails me whether it be slushy roads or 6" of fresh powder to drive through - I always get to my destination.
Cons
One of the biggest downfall of this vehicle is the MPG - I only average around 23 mpg with a mixture of highway and city driving. This is painful when gas prices are high as the car requires premium gasoline. Maintenance is a little bit pricey, but that is to be expected when driving a German car. I have learned that you get what you put into it. Keeping up with the maintenance is crucial to the longevity of the vehicle.
