This is my first luxury car and it was love at first sight. After accelerating in the 335i during my test drive I knew I was going to purchase the vehicle right then and there. The drive is a masterful one, highlighted by its power, smoothness and overall performance. Aesthetically speaking, it's a beautiful car, one you would expect from a BMW.
Story
The first time I let my mom drive this car, she didn't expect the car to accelerate as fast as it does, causing her head to whip completely back.
Pros
The car has everything you'd want. It's a sporty car that's quick, stylish, and can be used as a daily commute if you'd like with its surprisingly decent fuel economy. The interior is clean, roomy, and comfortable. The exterior is exactly the luxury look you'd expect from BMW.
Cons
Some of the cons are what you would expect from a BMW. Although the fuel economy is good for it's class, the car will still cost you more on gas than your standard affair. And as expected, maintenance on the car can set you back in terms of dollars. You must get the highest quality in order to satisfy the car's needs. Also, the iDrive system installed is more of a hassle then it needs to be. Very unsafe to toggle through it while driving.

As the review title implies, the 2008 BMW 335i is a well-rounded car, as it offers the ideal amalgam of luxury, comfort, performance, and cachet. The 3-Series variants have been BMW's highest-selling cars in their model range.
Story
One morning in rural Pennsylvania, I pulled up to a stop light. A late-model Mustang GT was in the adjacent lane. Given a short gear ratio six speed manual transmission and a 300 horsepower twin-turbocharged engine delivering 300 pound-feet of torque, I found it quite easy to keep pace with the aforementioned Mustang GT.
Pros
The interior and exterior styling is tastefully understated, yet sufficiently aesthetic to justify the purchase price. Furthermore, the performance and technological sophistication is commensurate with positive BMW stereotypes: smooth-shifting manual and automatic transmissions, agile handling, and noticeably brisk acceleration.
Cons
Despite a pleasant owner experience and a high repurchase rate, the maintenance and insurance costs for the BMW 335i tend to range among the highest for sport sedans of this ilk. Additionally, the electronics should be simplified. The user interface is not intuitive. Similarly, the location and quality of the cup holders leaves much to be desired: they should be located on the center console instead of the dashboard. Finally, as the engineering of this sports coupe favored performance over fuel-efficiency, the car burns copious premium fuel.
