My BMW 323i is a very solid car, especially for the mileage it was purchased at. The ride is very smooth and I've had very little mechanical issues with the car. It is clean inside and out. I've only run across a couple of things that I dislike about this vehicle. It's not made for a family. Don't put the kids in the back, there are not cup holders. Also, the manual shift, I think the shifter left and went to China for a while. It's very lacking for the car that is and disappointing.
Story
Around here there are a lot of superficial people that drive these cars for the name. Therefore, I get a lot of looks. People think I'm either a rich bitch or think I'm a girl with taste. It's interesting to drive this car and see peoples reactions. It's old, people that aren't familiar with the cars don't seem to realize. It's entertaining.
Pros
My tops about this car, I'm going places. It's got plenty of power to get places. The smooth ride is also something to talk about, it's like the car is letting you know you're riding in a solid car.
Cons
Again, Cup holders, where are the rear seat cup holders. Not only that, why are we covering up the passenger cup holder?

I loved the performance of this car. The engine made you feel as if you were in a racecar and the only speed you can go is FAST. At over 100,000 miles, it is still a beast of a car. I would definitely buy this again if I could go back in time. But currently, at the year of 2000, it would be too old to purchase right now.
Story
Racing a Lamborghini and getting humiliated like crazy when he sped off. He let me catch up to him but as soon as that happened he floored it and it sounded as if a spaceship had just blasted by.
Pros
The speed and sound! This car really backs up BMW's claim to fame of being "The Ultimate Driving Machine". You can shift the automatic version of the car into its on little stick/sport mode and it will just fly! I always turned heads while driving this car
Cons
The only downsides would have to be that the interior is just simply falling apart. The cloth is coming undone completely. Sometimes parts move and it makes this rattling sound which is uneasy. Also it can be a gas guzzler if you are driving it to its full potential.
