The R8 is probably the only exotic that can be used as a daily driver. The main limiting factor is a lack of storage space for trips to Costco. It's very comfortable for distance driving. It's perfectly balanced because it almost drives itself. A lot of R8 owners feel that the V8 handles just a little better than the V10 but of course the V10 has more HP. The all-wheel drive helps it to handle securely in the rain. You'll get tons of attention. The R8s are still relatively rare, and they have a presence on the road because they are wider than any 911.
Story
It's great. People are very interested in the car because it's still relatively rare, but I guess that would depend on where you live. But the car is very technical looking, and I get a lot of engineers that ask about it. I'm very happy to open it up and show them. The engine under glass (coupe) is cool, and people are surprised how clean the engine bay is. It requires almost no cleaning excep... (more)
Pros
For me, Audi R8 is one of my dream cars. If you are a racing freak who just love to hear that humming sound of the beast, then this Audi R8 car is for you. The car is more powerful then second generation LMS and includes best in class V10 engine and much more to say. The new R8 however shares 50% of its parts with the race car version, the R8 LMS, which you definitely feel. The new Audi R8 likes to turn much more than its predecessor, and with its 610 HP engine in the top version, it accelerates faster than many other supercars.
Cons
Opening the door is a bit tricky. Depending on how far you open the door, it will either want to return to its closed position or pop out to the fully open position. Passengers who don't know this will most likely end up hitting a car with their door if parked too close. People will want to race you or pull up along side of you on the highway.

I searched for this car for nearly a year and traveled half way across the country. This compact four door sedan has all wheel drive and V8 power. It is well made and a very unusual design for its vintage: 1990. I knew this car would provide the security of all weather performance and comfort which we needed in our rural environment. This is the third example of this model I have owned. Built in Germany it was imported for four years from 1990-1994 in small numbers. It was very expensive at that time, but my car was inexpensively priced at $6500 and had only 60,000 miles when I bought it. Thus nearly new, it represented nearly perfect automotive value.
Story
I always enjoy it when people I know and people I don't know ask if the car is new. Always garaged both before and after I purchased it, it gives me pleasure to see the amazed looks on peoples' faces when I tell them that my car is now twenty-six years old.
Pros
The top things I enjoy the most about this vehicle is that despite its relatively small size it is extremely comfortable, having more than sufficient power from its eight cylinder engine. With all wheel drive the car is relatively heavy, but the large, internally mounted front brake calipers make short distance stops easy. The overall driving experience is pleasurable. In our normal operating environment, despite the car's powerful engine, the fuel mileage is excellent.
Cons
I really don't think of any "cons" with this vehicle, but there are considerations involved with the cars "care and feeding" that might well be of concern to others. First of all, the car requires a qualified mechanic who knows and understands the unique systems that this particular car has. When Audi produced this car it was intended to be better and different than the other "high line" European competition. Thus while not temperamental the car requires its services when they are supposed to be performed and it requires the right parts and fluids to be used. Many people are unwilling t... (more)

This is the car which I call as the rarest of the rarest car which scores meritoriously on both style and performance. A first glance at the car and the hypnotizing elements are evident with the hawk-like stance and unique spark which no other car expresses. The exteriors have veered off the conventional body design and boast of a predator like elements with sharp headlights and large front grille that efficiently drapes down the bottom. The plus version of Audi R8 V10 is marked by the use of carbon fiber across the body with ceramic brakes and bucket seats.
Story
I Just like every Audi, the biggest highlights are the lights of course. The headlights and tail lights get all LEDs and look extremely sharp and purposeful. We love the rear indicators which continuously run from the inside to the outside and are called as "Dynamic Turn Signals". The coupe body style looks thoroughly exciting and the attention to detail is simply outstanding. The Audi R8 supe... (more)
Pros
Audi R8 is a car which we can say is the king of cars. Like a king, it performs a superbly and delivers an amazing experience. If anyone drives it once, he/she won't be looking upon another car because it is made with lots of special care and specific technology and with priorities and with lots of latest inputs. So, this car makes lots of fans and riders of Audi cars are amazing.
Cons
The R8 is equipped with sufficient safety apparatus including side, knee and head curtain airbags, antilock brakes, parking sensors on the front and rear, and rearview camera. However, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot surveillance and collision avoidance with automated braking are nowhere to be found. While affordability is admittedly not the highest priority with this segment of automobile, the nearly $200,000 base price puts this coupe out of reach for the majority of car buyers.
