The Audi A6 2.0T is a very solid car with beautiful lines and comfort built for the driver. I never really knew what "hugging the road" meant until purchasing this car. It is so solid and commanding. The amenities are so refined...,lights in the keyhole that light up the ground outside the car. Lights under the front seats, so the back seat passengers can see the floor. The car itself has good power -- especially for not being the 4.0T engine. Very smooth and powerful acceleration for a 4-door sedan. Nothing is jerky, slow or clunky about this car. That even includes how the doors close...they are heavy but still have a soft touch. It is designed for a male driver who doesn't carry passengers long distance. Limited storage and not a lot of leg room in the seat keep this car f... (more)
Story
I haul lumber in this car because the trunk is that big. I will go to the lumber yard, drop the seats and load hundreds of pounds of lumber into the trunk. They are always surprised that 1) I'm a lady buying wood and 2) loading it into a German luxury vehicle!
Pros
My favorite features of this vehicle is the solidness of the vehicle and how it looks. It has a timeless shape and style that will provide satisfaction for quite a few years. The other aspect I like about this car is the ski-through door in the trunk. It allows us to carry our skis inside the vehicle. It also has huge trunk space for the overall size of the sedan. Another neat feature is the fold down hooks in the trunk for your shopping bags. It helps keeps groceries from falling out and rolling around the trunk.
Cons
It requires a lot of maintenance. Also, it eats oil like crazy. I've talked with other Audi drivers, and they same the same thing. It doesn't make sense to buy a 50 or 60 thousand dollar car and have to keep a gallon of oil in the trunk to top off every 1,500 miles. This is a known issue, and yet the dealerships pretend they've never heard of it. A bit shameful if you ask me. I do not like the drink holders. They have tension "teeth" in them, and they're not user friendly and not sized properly. There is no place for a cell phone either. Newer models seem to address some of these ... (more)

Audi's redesign in 2012 with C7 chassis is excellent. The lines on the body are perfect, swept back to really give the car the sport look it deserves. There is very little clutter in the design. It's clean, crisp, and exactly what you would expect from a German company. Engine performance is top notch. 3.0 Supercharged provides plenty of acceleration for the on ramps and braking action is very reactive when coming up on the traffic suddenly. Prestige edition is the best. It offers a very good compliment of technology, style, and comfort. Some cars put too much technology, and certainly, the Prestige can be a bit overwhelming when diving deeper into some of the technology of the MMI. The beauty, however, is you can use as much or as a little of the technology as you desire.
Story
Took the car up to a one-mile road loop and pushed for a few laps. Accelerating 0-100 in well under eight seconds is always a blast.
Pros
Engine/performance. Every time I get in and push start/stop, there is a small thrill that resonates through me with the sound of the engine firing up. Love the wind down of the supercharger turbine too when tucking her into the garage. Leather seats are great. The seats are ventilated, which is a blessing in the Texas heat. Quad-zone A/C has been a great feature for when we're traveling with other family and friends. No more "turn the air down/up...I'm cold/hot." Everyone can control their own.
Cons
Cost of ownership. As an avid DIYer, cost of parts can be a bit ridiculous. Additionally, as a DIYer, the technology in the car means you have to be more careful with how much you can do. You need to know your limits and be ready to shell out some $$ if you're not comfortable with engaging the car's computer directly to perform certain maintenance tasks. Additionally, the MPG could be better. HWY is great, but city MPG leaves a bit to be desired. Trade off is the 300+ HP V6 engine though so can't really complain here.
