We all know that it's a beast. I have been using it for three to four years, but It never gave me any type of problems. Sitting in this car makes me feel royal and at last, I just wanna say Audi is the best.
Story
Yes, we had a fun while riding around the hills and mountain region that was a great pleasure to share on.
Pros
Great ride, handling (s4 is especially fun to drive). Get a quattro and you have AWD. This is great if you like to go to the mountains in the winter and don't want to install chains. Probably the nicest looking non-SUV that meets this criteria. Not an SUV. General sleek look, nice option packages. Sporty, upscale feel. Roomy trunk for size of car. Service at most dealerships is excellent.
Cons
Cramped back seat (especially if you have kids in car seats like I do). Electronics in dash peter out quickly. Plastic finishes on front components tend to chip after 6-7 years. So-so gas mileage. Expensive to maintain (especially if your clutch goes), not many qualified mechanics outside of dealerships. Don't age that well. Tend to break down more after ~9 years of age or >125K miles (although I drive a 2001 and it's still going strong, but I've put quite a bit into it). A bit expensive in light of the above. I recommend buying used for better value.

Overall, this is a good car. However, it has some significant issues. Power and handling are terrific, as is control in rain and snow. The car has a safe and sturdy feel, the cabin is roomy and comfortable and the details are pleasantly surprising and well designed. Unfortunately, expect to spend a significant amount on oil (this car guzzles) and for repairs. This is a high maintenance vehicles with steep repair costs.

Pros
The trim and interior detail are spot on and exquisite. The Quattro AWD system works wonders and gives a sturdy and in control drive. The cabin is roomy and well-appointed, while not overdone. Extra touches such as a first aid kit and built in ski bag are nice.
Cons
Oil consumption is a worry, as is the overall cost and frequency of maintenance. The automatic transmission also seems to lag out of first gear - not sure if this is common or a vehicle wide issue (or just the quirks of an automatic for someone used to a manual).

They were not pushy and made me feel like I was making the right choice for a decent price. There was no haggling. Also, the actually purchase time was relatively quick. I also liked their selection of cars.
