The 2019 Audi A3 faces stiff competition from the 2019 Cadillac ATS. The ATS has an optional manual transmission, which you won't find in many small luxury sedans. Also, it has excellent handling and steering. On the downside, the ATS has a noisy and fuel-hungry turbo-charged 4-cylinder engine. Another top rival for the Audi A3 this year is the 2019 BMW 2 Series. The 2 Series is always sure to sell fairly well due to its affordable price tag, good fuel economy, and inclusion of numerous standard features. This year, a lot of advanced safety features (including sensors for the front and rear of the vehicle) have been standardized. Premium interior with great fit and finish quality. Long list of features – LED headlights and tail lights, dynamic turn indicators, Audi Multi-Media Interface, panoramic sunroof etc. Both engines are fuel-efficient and offer adequate performance. Classy, understated design and rock solid build quality.
Cons
Cabin space, while better than its rival, the Mercedes CLA, is quite limited for the price. No paddle-shifters offered. Dummy buttons on center console and passenger doors look ungainly.

This is my first Audi. I've always been a fan of the A3, even before it was changed to a sedan. When the sedan came out, I knew I was going to get that car. Although one of the bad things that this car is always dinged on - The Backseats - I have no complaints. Sure, it's tight back there but I'm never in the back seats so I don't really care that it's small. Perky little engine! So much fun to drive. I can't say that I've driven up the arroyo parkway at about 80-90 mph though. The fuel mileage can be better but then again, I live in Los Angeles and it's stop and go traffic at any point of the day. I have gotten great mileage when I hit an open road. Sound system is good. I feel like there's a slight delay on initial acceleration but I may just have to tweak the settings to fix that. O... (more)

I was considering trading my 2014 S4 for a 2017 A4, but the annoying center display and contradictory options packages eliminated the A4. I then turned to the A3, which I had thought would be too small: I was wrong, at least for the way I use my car (mostly local driving, usually only with one passenger). Since this dealership is located in a newly renovated building, everything was very new. The service that they provided was very efficient and past my expectations. I had service done in the SF location and they were not comparable to Concord. Concord was much better in terms of customer service.
