I have owned this car for just under 2 years now, having ordered the model as soon as it was officially released in July 2012. Overall, I'd say that the car is well designed and handles well on the road, and the engine is just powerful enough and strikes the right balance between power and efficiency (expect around 475 miles on a tank of fuel). Additionally, the cabin is good quality (decent plastics and neat metal touches) and seats and driving position are both comfortable. I opted for a few extras, such as the MMI system and B&O sound system, cruise control and hill-hold - whilst not cheap, if you can stretch to these they will make all the difference.
Story
My girlfriend and 2 other friends took a road trip down to her family's cabin in Kansas. My greatest memory is just the music and the general feel of being on the road.
Pros
Bought this to replace my 2.0 Petrol VW Scirocco (uninsurable for my 17 year old son!). Have found it surprisingly nippy for a 1.4 Engine, and it zips round corners pretty well. Getting 40 mpg which is good for me (30mpg in the Scirocco!). Stylish interior, excellent manual gearbox, comfortable seating position, very easy to use MMI system and decent sound.
Cons
However, my biggest criticism of this car is its reliability. I rely on the car for commuting and business driving, but it's been off the road on around 4 occasions to date aside from servicing and recalls. Around 3 months after I took delivery, the starter motor packed in. Audi replaced this noting that it shouldn't have failed on such a new car. Then, the MMI system broke. Again, another trip to the dealership was required. Now, the start-stop has broken (most likely another starter motor fault as it experiences the same symptoms as before) and there's a fault on the clutch. It's still u... (more)

I am delighted with this vehicle which looks stunning internally and externally. The detailed finish is superb and as expected from Audi. The 6 speed gearbox is slick whilst the 150 TDi engine gives effortless powerful acceleration especially in the mid range of speed. Sports suspension is stiff but not uncomfortable even for an older driver, the reward being excellent handling. Reasonably roomy too.
Story
I had a race with my brother, my car helped me to win the race
Pros
Additional space over hatchback Powerful yet economical engines Impressive interior quality
Cons
Priced high S line suspension too firm Some versions have less boot space

2017 Audi A3 - Audi A3 is great, compact, luxury, not expensive.

The Audi A3 delivers sporty and spirited performance. Despite its low price, the A3 has features and high-quality materials found in higher-priced Audi cars. The A3 ranks in the lower half of luxury small cars because it has less rear-seat and trunk space than most of its class/style but it's an amazing, sporty, modern, technological car. It provides the latest look at trim-level features and specs, performance, safety, and comfort. As for appearance, the car is really sharp. I have gotten my fair share of compliments. The interior is smartly designed – everything makes a lot of sense and it’s easy to navigate. The car heats up / cools off really quickly. The seats are adjustable in a lot of ways and super comfortable. And the interior just looks sharp. The headlights are pretty terrif... (more)

I love opening the sunroof on sunny days! I live in the mountains so going uphill or taking curves is effortless (compared to other cars/SUVs I have driven or been in). Second, I have now driving in snow a number of times and it feels like Velcro is stuck to the tires/road. It handles so well that I couldn’t possibly be happier. I never think twice about road conditions when it comes to this c... (more)
Pros
Dual climate, Sirius XM, leather, Bluetooth, 14 way adjustable manual seats. The A3 offers great mileage. On average, my use is about 23 mpg in the city, which is far better than most competitors. I can also interact with my iPhone and Android phones on the car screen and use app such as Maps, Spotify, Music, WhatsApp, Messages, Calendar, Reminders. I can also interact with Siri while driving. Love that it also offers a sunroof. The ride and handling are excellent and the engine is smooth and responsive. The duel clutch is very precise and when you floor the car it jets off with a very smo... (more)
Cons
The A3 doesn't have much trunk space - I can only fit 1 regular size luggage and 1 carry on. If you're into water sports, it's not ideal as you cannot fit your surfboard or kite surfing equipment. However, you can fit most other sport equipment.
