2002 Acura RSX - Acura RSX Reliable No Frills Daily Driver
The Acura RSX I have is the base model RSX in the blue color. It has been a good reliable car and has great mileage and decent performance. The car is easy to maintain and cheap to run. The thing I like is it's vtec engine which is economical at low speeds and decent on the highway. There is a lot of aftermarket parts for the car and is a decent car if your into tuning. It is a small interior inside the car.

I used the vehicle to move from Richmond to Norfolk carrying all my items as the car is very roomy when you fold down the rear seats. I've been able to move large items like an Olympic bench press and a treadmill in such a small car.

I like the customizability, for example, I was able to get a lot of parts like lips, exhaust, electronics, headers and suspension parts for it. For the most part it is easy and cheap to work on. It's also a pretty simple car so most repairs are easy. It has been reliable and I have almost 100,000 miles with only a few minor issues. The size makes it easy to drive and park everywhere.

Space is a negative as there is only room for two in the back as there is terribly designed center console built into the rear seats. The engine bay is very crowded and getting the oil filter out is a challenge. The fit and finish is not that good and there are things the manufacturer cheaped out on. For one there is a lot of rattling you can hear driving inside the cabin. The things they cheaped out on is the grounding wires, lock actuators and engine plastic trim and tabs. I've had two lock actuators replaced. Also the wheel well guard is not durable.

2003 Acura RSX - Reliable but falling apart
I bought this vehicle new and at this point would have to say that I would buy a different vehicle if I could go back. Don't get me wrong, there are many positives about it but overall, it just let me down in a few ways. First, from the get-go, it had a problem that would show it's head about every 100 or so shifts where shifting into 3rd gear would be impossible. After I purchased the car, I took it back to the dealership to have them fix the issue and was told that they could not help unless they could replicate the problem. So I left it with them 3 separate times, a week each time and was told each time that the problem could not be replicated. So I lived with the issue. So I left it with them 3 separate times, a week each time and was told each time that the problem could not be replicated. So I lived with the issue. About 5 years later I did some research and other drivers had the same issue and Acura had finally admitted to the issue. This angered me greatly as I had to deal with the problem all this time and was basically told that what I was claiming to experience wasn't actually happening. So that's my main grievance with the vehicle. When this gear problem I'm mentioning wasn't occurring, I will say that I really enjoyed driving the vehicle. It was speedy, reasonably okay for gas mileage (it requires premium gas) and I always liked the look and style of the car. One amazingly awesome attribute of this vehicle is how much space is available for hauling etc when the back seats are folded forward. Anyone who ever peeked into the back when I was loading etc always was amazed at how much room there is to haul etc when those seats are down. Really amazing and was very, very useful. Now that last problem that really turns me off about the purchase as a whole is just the low quality build of the car. I do realize that it's been 10 years now, but there are just so many parts that I feel I took care of and are just falling apart at this point. The seat has holes, the floor mats wore through, the molding that surrounds the driver side door to seal when closed would always come loose and I even replaced to have the same thing happen within a month at which point I gave up. I also never found the seats very comfortable, but I guess they aren't necessarily suppose to be with the racing style bucket type seats that were chosen. I do like the car, but if I had to give it some kind of rating out of 10, I think I'd give it a 6.
I was able to have a hitch installed and trek across the country multiple times when moving. The storage space in the car + the trailer that I pulled made it an easy move in a car that no one would ever expect would be used in this way.

Stylish, fast, decent gas mileage, amazing storage space for hauling when back seats are folded down, good sound system, reliable-still running great after 10 years

Problems with transmission from the get-go and Acura never helped!, Build quality did not hold up over time on misc parts around the car (not engine), uncomfortable

2017 Acura RSX - This car is a definition to comfort and luxury. The speed is very good and balanced on the road at the same time. I recommend this car.
I like a lot of things about the car. The leather interior design is classic and simple, making it easy to wash.

The 2019 vacation road trip I took with my wife and my two kids. It was so fun as we raced with other drivers at the camp.

The engine durability is unique. It has a very beautiful interior design. The speed limit and acceleration is great. The wheel balance is very good. The body chassis design looks so sporty and classic. It has a good technological wired devices, the stereo, air-conditioner. The engine has a good gas conversion rate.

The six speed gearbox was horrible. Just a couple months after my roommate had bought the car I ruined his engine shifting from third to four gear I went into second by mistake over revving the engine for a few moments. one or two of the Pistons lost compression his A/C compressor quit working and the engine valves were damaged. The Acura RSX type s was a complete disappointment I expected much more because I had previously owned a base model RSX with an automatic five speed that I enjoyed driving and had no complaints but whenever I saw a type S model on the road and heard the drivers of ...
