2007 Acura MDX - Love my tank!
I have a lot of anxiety after getting into an accident with a small car. The car is large and sturdy. It has a smooth ride, and its a gorgeous classic and classy SUV. It is actually terrible on gas only about 18miles/gallon, but it is also an older model. It is beginning to show its years, partly because I drive about three hours a day.
Story
Gas around here is dependent on things in the south. Gas has always been something I get to bet my friends on. We used to bet at the gas pump how much it would take to full my tank (usually around 80 bucks). Sometime later the prices dropped, and I got down to about 48, but when the hurricane seasons come around, it's betting season again (for fun, nothing serious).
Pros
It's a comfortable ride. It is "nimbus gray" which is a dark gray color. It's sleek looking despite its spacious interior. The interior is black leather. I bought the car used, and the leather still looks great after ten years. Keeping it clean is priority because when you open the door, its noticeably more beautiful when its wiped out and vacuumed. Driving it really gives me a sense of pride over my belongings. The car is also pretty sturdy mechanically. Cons
Gas mileage is a big one. I am always on the highway, and it really does take a lot out of my car. It also takes 93 as opposed to 87 and 89. It also is extremely expensive to maintain, and although it does hold its own, as the car ages, some things begin to go. The alternator went for about 800 dollars, and that is not including other regular things like brakes and belts. It will hurt your pocket when it's time.
