I loved the interior as well as the way it drove. This year the MDX receives standard XM Satellite Radio, a Bluetooth hands-free cell phone interface on Touring models, a larger fuel tank and an enhanced stability control system. The optional rear entertainment system now includes an in-dash six-disc CD changer, and the navigation system has an enhanced database. MDXs with navigation also include the OnStar communications system. A somewhat bland but otherwise utterly capable and perfectly useful crossover SUV.
Story
No major repairs. Brakes needed to be done. I don't take it to the dealer. My independent mechanic works on it. Very similar in price of maintenance and ownership to a Honda. I will mention that I bought an '07 Honda Ridgeline about 4 years ago too. It's been a great vehicle. Great for hauling gear, can tow 5k, good for 2 kids in the back seats. People rag on the RL for not being a real truck,... (more)
Pros
Room for seven passengers or serious amounts of cargo, gutsy V6 engine, well-balanced suspension, top-rated crash test scores. In my shopping and research I keep arriving at the 2007 MDX, which I seem to be able to get with 85,000-110,000 miles for $16-17K. I know that there are other vehicles in this class which I might be able to get a few years newer or with fewer miles, but I encounter many qualms in forums and with friends about the reliability of higher mileage Buicks, Mazadas, and Volvos. I can't seem to find anyone say anything negative about the MDX.
Cons
If you press the buttons and nothing happens, there is a chance that the Bluetooth module has been disconnected all together. In my car a relatively common problem is that the module malfunctions and continuously searches for a connection and will drain and kill your battery. My MDX was chewing through batteries every year or so. Disconnecting that module (which I never used anyway) and replacing the a/c compressor relay stopped the battery issues. While it does have Bluetooth and hands free capabilities, it does not allow you to play music through the radio and there are no aux ports either.

I bought this car used from a dealership about a year ago. I chose the car because it's got a very appealing style. It does not look dated for a car that was built in 2005. I like the look of an SUV compared to a van since I have children & dogs, and require a vehicle that can carry everything, ranging from bikes and several friends going to the park. The car is very comfortable. It has a lot of room, it includes 3 rows of seats which makes it very convenient to transport several children at once. The car itself is very quiet, hugs the road comfortably, so usually I feel very secure in it. The side mirrors tilt automatically when backing out of the drive way for example so there is not a problem about blind spots. I have not had to bring it to the shop except for regular maintenance. Story
My family usually use this car to go on road trips and it's very comfortable, would not trade it for anything else except for a newer model.
Pros
Great engine, easy to maneuver, and great physic. Comfortable ride, and thoughtful details to make the passengers comfortable as well.
Cons
This cars uses a lot of gas, so the gas mileage is not very impressive but still has better mileage than my previous car. The inside leather driver side shows slight deterioration.
