I have really enjoyed owning my Acura MDX. It has been a very reliable car/SUV for the most part. It was a splurge when purchased (I thought my husband was buying a Honda Pilot), but with just under 160K miles on it and over 13 years old, it has held up well. The car was fun to drive and handled well in any conditions. It felt very plush when purchased, and although there have been many electronic updates to vehicles in the past 13 years, mine came with leather, third row seat (with seating for seven), backup camera, navigation, AWD, DVD player, single CD player, six-CD player (great for road trips), heated seats, memory seats, etc., which at the time was top of the line. The car handled well, had plenty of pick up and go, and I liked the smooth lines of the car.
Story
I don't recall any specific fun/memorable stories for this car, but overall I have really good memories of being in the car and driving, especially the road trips. It's been to Georgia and back three times and to Rhode Island and back at least five times. It has been to numerous beaches in MD, DE, VA, NC, and NJ. Pros
Navigation system was great and very easy to use. Backup camera, which was extremely useful when trying to park. The vehicle had plenty of room for road trips with little kids that turned into much bigger kids. Plenty of cargo space, especially when only transporting a couple of kids and we weren't using the third row.
Cons
Gas mileage wasn't ideal. A lot of miles were put on the car driving around town and the gas mileage was under 20 miles per gallon. It required premium gas, which when gas prices were high, could be $70 to fill a tank of gas. I eventually started having electronic uses with the navigation system and backup camera would only work on occasion. I've had to purchase three new batteries for the car. While I didn't feel I had to take my car in for service very often, it was pretty expensive each time.

I have really enjoyed this vehicle. It has been fun to drive and provides plenty of space for my family (4 of us), as well as having the 3rd row seating available if we have larger groups. It is a comfortable ride with heated front seats, and a built in gps unit. It has a built in dvd player which is great for long car rides with the kids. With the 3rd row seating up, it has plenty of space for grocery shopping, road trips, and strollers. The vehicle handles well, and has done extremely well in snowy conditions as well.
Story
We did a road trip down the Oregon Coast. It was great for the kids to have the dvd player during the slow parts. It was a comfortable ride and we were able to bring plenty of stuff. A very fun trip.
Pros
The top positive things are reliability, great handling, hugs the road quite well for an suv. It has many of the comforts that a car can provide such as heated seats, gps, dvd player, rear climate control. The 3rd row seating option is great for larger groups, or for taking the kids and their friends to events. Overall it is just a very spacious comfortable ride that I would highly recommend.
Cons
The only major cons that I would see is that it is not the most fuel efficient car. Being an SUV, driving around in the city it does not tend to get very good gas mileage. The other thing is that any minor repairs we have had to do can be quite pricey.
