I love this vehicle. I bought this in 2001 and have over 100,000 miles but still runs very well. Though this car is 16 years old, but it still looks stylish on the road. I had never had problems with engine and when merging onto highway. It picks up speed very well for a mid-size SUV. I don't hear any rattling or abnormal sound from engine.
Story
I had to drive in the snowy condition from the small town near Lake Superior to the Twin Cities. I could barely see 100 yards and it was slippery. I am 55-year-old woman, and I was probably about 50 years old, so you can imagine that I am not the best driver in town. I saw more than ten accidents on Interstate 35, but somehow I drove home safely.
Pros
I live in the upper Midwest where we drive in slippery and snowy conditions. This car drives super well in the poor weather conditions. Another thing is that the trunk is huge. I just loaded my Honda lawn mower in the trunk and brought it to a hardware store for a tune-ups. Usually five people can ride, but if you have more people, part of the trunk space can be converted to seats so seven people can legally ride. Another thing I like is the heated-leather seat. It feels so good in winter.
Cons
I bring my MDX to Acura for routine checkups, so I take good care of my car. The only major work was that I had to replace my transmission a few years ago. I heard from other people that MDX tends to have transmission issues. After all, this is an SUV, so fuel efficiency is not that great.

I have a 2001 Acura MDX. It is a compact SUV, and I love it. It is very comfortable and allows up to seven passengers. The seats are heated and leather. They are very comfortable. The ride is very smooth. It has cigarette lighters throughout the car, so I can always have my USB chargers plugged in. That is very handy for when all the kids are in the car and have their electronics. Great for long car rides. It is built-in GPS system. It also has heated mirrors, which comes in handy for when it is cold and has snowed or is frosted over. It is very roomy even though it fits up to seven people. It is a 4x4 which is great. Although it is compact, this fits my needs very well.
Story
I don't drive my MDX as an everyday driver. This is only used when I have all of my kids together and need to go somewhere. We are getting ready to go on a long trip in the next few weeks in it, though.
Pros
My favorite things about the MDX is that is compact but roomy. I love the heated seats and heated mirrors for winter. The seats are leather and so comfortable. It rides very smooth and great for long car rides. The air works great.
Cons
The only negative items I can say about this car is the gas mileage isn't great, Also the 4x4 is not to be used at all times when weather is bad. It is only to be used if your stuck. Other than those two things, I love my SUV.
